Yesterday was the last day of the Spring Term at HPKCHC. I was able to finish up my OWL and turned it in late last night. I have to admit that I was pretty happy to get that last pair of socks completed. Now, I"m ready to cast on something new, I'm just not sure what.
I know i would like to finish the Falling Rain shawl I started at the beginning of the term and will probably work on it during the break. I'm fairly certain it will take more than a month to finish, so it'll have to be turned in for Detention. At least there will still be a few points for that, right?
I've gotten some lovely yarn from Younger Yarn and am really looking forward to using some of it. Now that the OWL is finished, I can go back to getting a pair of socks done each month (thank goodness!) and take my time with the patterns. I've already decided what to do with the Envy yarn I got and will probably cast those on later today.
I also have a few Yule gifts to get started on and will finish working on those plans later, as well. I know there will be at least 2 scarves for family, then several hats for the Marines Anthony will be stationed with, a shawlette or two for other friends... and I'm pretty sure the list will grow. Luckily, it's only August 1 and I will have plenty of time.
